Grand Prix GXP with the 5.3l V8
or even earlier GTP with the supercharged 3.8l V6
They were always the most attractive the of W-body cars, IMO.

Have fun changing the plugs on that V8 haha

It would be an upgrade over what I have now!
The doghouse in the interior doesn't provide much in terms of room either.

I nearly got an '05 GTP, but the interior was trashed and I could deal with buying premium fuel. So I went with a GT, Im pretty pleased with the choice.

I actually like the older ones styling a bit better than the newer ones, but I could live with the styling for V8 powah.

The V8s have a G-meter. I always tried to up my personal best when I took it from the dealership. Ahhh... The preowned lot.

If this had three pedals, I'd have one. Murdered out, a bit lower and with Mustang rims.
I've seen one with that combo, words don't describe how awesome it was. Supercharged HNRRGGHHHH.

Sounds like you had a lot of smokey FWD burnouts.

I just love how superchargers, something usually put on performance cars, was put on GMs bread and butter civilian models motors.

Same, the Mazda Millenia or whatever that thing was called also. I'd call that Regal an ultimate sleeper because, well let's be honest. Buicks were mainly chariots of the elderly. You don't really expect Granny to drive a Supercharged Buick.

Dat under & torque steer doe.

Worth it
So worth it

Nah, I'd rather have a car that can actually use it's power, or power oversteer if I want.

But one of those in "decent" condition goes for about 12k.
I can pick up a GTP for like 3 grand.

The Millenia had one not because it was trying to be a hot rod, but because it's Miller Cycle engine required it.

You originally posted the GXP which is like the same price as a GTO. But fine, still rather have one of these.
*Actually looked clean with only 117k miles too. So I actually would want this, no joke.

Honestly, less smokey burnouts than smashing brakes and taking corners as fast as unreasonably possible. :-) Burnouts leave rubbery evidence in the wheel wells.

Both sound very joy inducing

Also, here you go, fall in love!

GM could get two things right in the 90s and early 2000s: Seats and Engines.
Staaahp, that isn't helping with my want.

Those earlier ones with the body clading rust like crazy. A buddy of mine had one from new, kept it in tip top shape for 180k miles. Then he pulled the cladding off to clean up under there ... The rocker panels were completely gone. Not good for a unibody car. He was heartbroken when he junked it.

Friend of mine recently found a G8 gxp. Astounding car, decent handling... Now he's just trying to find a decent way to get the power to the ground..

I tried to get a GTP as my first car. Totally didn't mention the supercharger to my parents. Managed to find one on craigslist, but never got a response. Four years later and I'm still miffed about that.

He's one of those people who bought a G8 and is also anal about gas mileage..
Our friendship is a chapter out of Catch 22....

I mean, the LS motors can get good mileage, but it ain't no Prius.
